LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- The suspect who allegedly took two nurses hostage at a Pine Bluff medical clinic made his first court appearance.

William Brown, 27, appeared in Jefferson County District Court Friday morning.

He's facing several charges ranging from battery to terroristic threatening. But police are still investigating what allegedly set him off.

Lt. Denise Richardson with Pine Bluff police says that Williams said he had bombs strapped to his body but he didn't, and that he was armed with a gun but it turned out to be a toy gun.

Judge Bridgforth set Brown's bond at $250,000 secured. He was also given a no contact order on the two victims.

He'll be back in court April 5th.

THV's Meredith Mitchell spoke with the two victims and will share their stories tonight on "THV 11 News at 6:00".
