Here are some of the e-mails our anchors have received:
1.) Do the news broadcasters do their own hair and makeup or do you have people on the set that do it for you?
2.) Liz, what brand of makeup/face care do you use? Your skin looks flawless on TV!
3.) No offense but you two girls need a NEW HAIRDRESSER! Your 'bubble' styles are way, way out of date. Please, get help.
4.) Hi Dawn, I love your new hairdo!!! Who does your hair?
5.) Your weather man came on to supply a quick weather update and I was completely distracted by his abomination of an outfit.
As a concerned viewer, I would highly recommend that if you don't already have a position that dresses up your anchor men and women, you create it. We can't have any more of your staff going on camera looking like they just rolled out of a monochromatic bed or that their color blind friend dressed them.
The answer is... we pretty much do it ourselves. There is no stylist, no wardrobe coordinator.
Each day, early in the afternoon, the anchors hit the makeup room, with big bags of color and foundation... and lots and lots of hairspray!
Even the guys have to wear a little bit of foundation because the bright lights can make your skin look pretty washed out.
We pick out our own clothes, and we make mistakes sometimes. But we are always open to constructive criticism. So, if you have a compliment or a complaint, just email thvinsider@todaysthv.com.
There will be more behind the scenes tonight on the "THV 10:00 Difference" and todaysthv.com.
