LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - In honor of all the wonderful things our mothers do for us, Today's THV held a Mom's Outdoor Oasis contest. The winner won a $2,500 yard makeover from Chris Olsen and Botanica Gardens.
We recieved dozens of submissions and after much deliberation, Chris picked Kelley Anne Pitts of North Little Rock, who was nominated by her daughter Lakin.
"She's always been such a supportive mom for me and my sister both, always had us on a pedestal, sometimes when we should have been there," says Lakin. "She's just always been so nurturing and she deserves it."
Kelley has been battling cancer for six years and chemotherapy treatments leave her weak and unable to work on her backyard, so Chris will be redoing her back deck with planters and more she can see out her sliding doors and enjoy the view.
