New documentary bringing light to global issues of manufacturing

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - It's a day you probably don't hear a lot about. Today, October 5, is Manufacturing Day, a day designed to expand knowledge and improve the public perception of manufacturing careers and its value to the U.S. Economy.    

A special film starts tonight at Market Street Cinema and its discussing the global issues of manufacturing.

Alliance Rubber Company is sponsoring the premiere of Peter Navarro's award-winning documentary, Death By China, which highlights global issues impacting the heart of U.S. manufacturing.

Industry officials from across the state will be present for the premiere. Program includes a special meet and greet with the film's producer Greg Autry in the theater's lobby at 6:30 p.m. The documentary, with a running time of 79 minutes, will begin at 7 p.m.

An interactive forum, featuring Autry and other key speakers, will immediately follow the screening. Event will conclude at 9 p.m.

Tonight's special screening is sold out but you can see Death by China at Market Street until October 11.
