LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - THV 11 News This Morning is always trying to pay it forward with small acts of kindness, from buying someone's coffee to featuring people who have made a big difference in their community.
A Texas woman heard of our 'Pay It Forward' mission and contacted THV 11 News with her ongoing challenge to bless one million hurting people across the world.
Stephanie King is an Army veteran who has devoted her life to serving others. Now she is encouraging others to step up and join her Be a Blessing (B2) Challenge.
"What we'd like to do is inspire normal everyday average people just like me, across the entire United States and the entire world, to get out once a month a be a blessing to someone," explains King. "Someone who is homeless, who may not have any food, someone who may have lost a child; it's really just one of those things where you try to reach somebody in your own community."The first step is to commit to being a blessing to one person per month for the next 12 months. Your act of kindness could include money, a small gift or any other random act.
Once you have completed that act of kindness, King asks that you leave a B2 Challenge bracelet (inscribed with God Loves You) and a wallet card, both available on the website, with the recipient. Last, come back to the website and share your act of kindness.
"One action at a time and we can get to a million," says King.
When asked if she doubts that people will join together in such a large way to be a blessing to so many people, King said, "God used everyday ordinary people just like me all throughout the bible to accomplish incredible things. If he did it then, I know he can do it now."
The B2 Challenge Pack costs $9.97 and all profits will be given back to the homeless, hungry, hurting, sick and forgotten through random acts of kindness.
