UNDATED, (KTHV) -- It's Friday, which means THV 11 News is getting you ready for the weekend with five things to do in central Arkansas.
#1. Dazzle Daze -- Get in the holiday spirit with the 11th annual event in Conway. This fall event is a shopping extravaganza featuring specialty shopping in one location. More than 100 merchants from around the country will offer gourmet food, holiday items, jewelry, children's items, and women's clothing.
It runs through Saturday at the Conway Expo Center.
#2. Garvan Wooldland Gardens -- It's the holiday season in Garland County with a winter wonderland. More than 1.8 million bulbs will light up the 15-acre area starting Friday. Through Dec. 31 families can head to Hot Springs to experience the winter wonderland, complete with a visit to the gift shop and a cup of hot chocolate.
#3. Superstorm Sandy Donations -- Clinton School students will collect donations this weekend to send to New York for the relief efforts following Sandy. You can donate nonperishable food items, work boots and money. Much of the supplies will be sent to the hard-hit Rockaways community in Brooklyn.
Starting Friday through Sunday, you can donate in the parking lot of the Clinton School.
#4. Angel Tree -- If you live in Garland County, now's your help to give back to children in need this Christmas. The Angel Tree program kicks off at the Hot Springs Mall Saturday at 11:30 a.m.
There will be music and entertainment. This Salvation Army kick-off is in the main hall in front of Dillard's.
#5. The Holiday Tour of Homes -- Participants will enjoy a self-guided tour, a favorite of North Little Rock citizens, show-casing spectacular homes that feature holiday décor created by local designers. There will be food, cocktails, and entertainment. The event starts today and runs through Sunday. It benefits the Junior League of North Little Rock.
