LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Too often we report the negative news, but great things are happening in your community each day.
Here's a look at a few stories that are on The Brighter Side...
Two-hundred-thousand dollars is headed to Central Arkansas from the Delta Regional Authority.
The money will benefit the workforce development program to support the renovation of the Dorcas House, a facility for women recovering from domestic violence and addiction.
The renovation will include the construction of two security gates and the installation of energy efficient windows and H-vac units to provide an updated living and learning environment for the 250 women who call Dorcas House home.
And great news from Faulker County as 7 of 10 restaurants passed a random alcohol compliance check.
These checks were done to ensure that these establishments are not serving alcohol to minors.
The restaurants that passed are Pasta Grill, ZaZa's, El Parian, Brick Oven, Patron, Casa Mariachi and the Draft. Those that failed were Taziki's, Outback Steakhouse and Stromboli's.
