NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (Feb 23, 2013) - As the sport of lacrosse is growing in Arkansas and around the country, Little Rock's own Lightning Lacrosse is hosting an opportunity for those unfamiliar with the sport to come and see what it is all about.

The second annual Little Rock LacrosseFest will be held at Burns Park in North Little Rock this weekend. Thirty teams will compete in 50 games over the course of two days.

The event will feature youth lacrosse players from around the region, such as Oklahoma, Texas, Northwest Arkansas, and Louisiana, as well as high school and youth teams from Little Rock.

THV 11's Melissa Dunbar-Gates got a preview of what spectators can see from Rhett Thompson and players Grayson Tishko and Tyler Oliver.

The Little Rock Lightning Lacrosse Organization is dedicated to providing youths and their families with a fun, competitive and energetic environment for lacrosse instruction and development of student athletes. Registration for Spring Lacrosse is now open.
