UNDATED (CNN) -- Newt Gingrich cracks jokes, Governor Scott talks of love, possibly sex and marriage, plus New Jersey's governor isn't claiming Snookie as one of the state's finest. These are just a couple of politicians who made funny comments this week.
Gingrich said, "I am cheerfully going to take back up the issue of space. My wife has pointed out to me approximately 219 times, give or take three, that moon colony was probably not my most clever comment in this campaign. I thought, frankly, in my role of providing material for Saturday Night Live it was helpful."
Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker says, "Twenty years ago tonight, Tonette and I went on our first date I knew that very night after we spent the night there, what's that not, we didn't spend that night. We are at that dinner. No, no, no, no. It is good I am reading her lips, what is she talking about? (Holds red tie to face) Matches my face doesn't it?"
President Obama said at the White House Coorespondents Dinner, "Look at this party, we've got men in tuxes, women in gowns, fine wine, first-class entertainment; I was just relieved to learn this was not a GSA conference."
New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie says, "The same time that we, in popular culture around America, were known for things like 'The Sopranos' and ''The Real Housewives of New Jersey' and God forbid, 'The Jersey Shore.' Just remember this Snooki and the Situation are from New York, not from New Jersey."
