National Handshake Day is celebrated on the last Thursday in June so we found a list compiled by The Oatmeal of handshakes to avoid, including the bone crusher and the never-let-go.
Psychology Today also provides these insight into handshakes:
- Handshakes that are too hard make you seem forceful.
- Handshakes that are too weak seem noncommittal.
- For best results, wipe the sweat from your palm, keep you palm sideways, and aim for "moderate firmness."
