LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- A new report shows that people who hunt and fish in Arkansas are making a huge economic impact on the state's economy.

Randy Zellers, editor with the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission, said outdoor recreation is bringing in $2.1 billion annually.

"Deer hunting alone brings in about $530 million a year. Duck hunting brings in about $236 million a year. And fishing brings in about $536 million a year," explained Zellers.

The data from the Congressional Sportsmen's Foundation said the ripple effect on the economy supports more than 25,000 jobs in the state.
