Arkansas Game and Fish talks about upcoming Ark. outdoor events in May

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- There are several outdoor events going on in May.

May 6 is International Migratory Bird Day. At the Little Rock Nature Center, there will be a bird walk and several different activities for children. This event is to raise awareness of the importance of migratory birds.

In Fort Smith, there are Nature Nights being held. One of the Nature Night activities is bow fishing. Targets will be set up in the water so people can try their hand at bow fishing.

Another good thing to do outdoors in May is visit the Rick Evans Grandview Prairie in Columbus, Arkansas. Wildflowers are in full bloom at the prairie. There are also places to fish, a 3D archery range, and a shooting range.
