LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- Craig and Wess talk winners and losers in the world of sports.
Let's start this week's biggest loser: Metta World Peace. The NBA suspended the Lakers forward for seven games for the elbow to James Harden's head. David Stern says the elbow was "recklessly thrown" and World Peace's history absolutely weighed into the suspension. The suspension could force him out of the entire first round of the playoffs.
Next winner: Oklahoma City Thunder. They made 17-year-old Lora-lie Decker's dream come true. The high school senior served as their coach for a day. Lora-lei is battling Hodgkins Lymphoma. She also served as their honorary captain during last night's game against Sacramento. Oklahoma City won that game.
Here's another winner, not because he's a Texas Rangers fan - although that does make him a winner - but because he played catch with the Yankees Andru Jones before the ninth inning.
We end with some big winners: us, the Arkansas media. Our job became a lot easier yesterday when John L Smith was introduced as the new coach. John L is a quote machine and his press conferences will make our job a lot easier.
Thank you Jeff Long.
