FAYETTEVILLE (UA) - Along with a large contingent of Saline County Club members, there were several distinguished guests at the club meeting including President of the University of Arkansas system Dr. Donald Bobbitt and Board of Trustee member Sam Hilburn.
The club event began with a short session with the media which was followed by an autograph session. The club then held a live auction before listening to Anderson and Assistant Director of the Razorback Foundation, Marvin Caston speak. Anderson's speech included his thoughts on the Razorbacks following his first season at the helm of the program, how his team has improved throughout the spring in practice, the importance of finishing out the academic year strong and his goals for next season and beyond.
Anderson led the Razorbacks to an 18-14 record in 2011-12 which included three victories over ranked teams, a school-record 17 wins at home and an undefeated non-conference home schedule. The Razorbacks bring back a majority of their team for the 2012-13 season.
Anderson has speaking engagements scheduled for the Mississippi County Club in Blytheville, Ark., on May 7 and Greers Ferry Lake (May 10). He will also participate in the Razorback Club golf outing in Fort Smith, Ark., on May 14.
