Phoenix, AZ (Sports Network) - Ryan Roberts drove in three runs, Justin Upton
clubbed a two-run homer and the Arizona Diamondbacks pounded a previously
unbeaten Ted Lilly and the visiting Los Angeles Dodgers, 11-4, in the finale
of a three-game series at Chase Field.
Jason Kubel and Aaron Hill had two RBI apiece for Arizona, which avoided being
swept at home for a second time this season.
Hill and teammate Willie Bloomquist both finished with three hits.
Diamondbacks starter Joe Saunders (3-3) gave up four runs on seven hits with a
walk and seven strikeouts in 6 1/3 innings.
Elian Herrera doubled twice and knocked in a run for the Dodgers, who were
seeking a season-high seventh straight win.
Lilly (5-1) was victimized for eight runs on nine hits and five walks in 3 1/3
innings and suffered his first loss since September 12, 2011 against these
same Diamondbacks. The veteran left-hander entered Wednesday's game with a
1.79 earned run average and had gone 8-0 in his last 10 outings.
