JONESBORO, Ark. (AP) - Arkansas State has scheduled dates for its 2012 Scarlet Scramble golf tour across Northeast Arkansas.
Officials say the Scarlet Scramble tour will kickoff June 6 in Osceola and continue in Newport on June 8, Paragould on June 26 and Blytheville on July 9. The tournaments in Osceola and Newport are set to begin at 1 p.m. and will be followed by a dinner. The Paragould and Blytheville tournaments will start at noon with a lunch and have a 1 p.m. tee time.
Arkansas State coaches and athletic department staff will attend each event and compete alongside fans in teams of four or more in a scramble format. The winning team at each Scarlet Scramble will earn a free spot in the Arkansas State University Open, set for Oct. 12 at Sage Meadows Country Club.
All proceeds from the tournament benefit the Arkansas State University Red Wolf Club.
