Tulsa, OK (Sports Network) - Maya Moore scored a game-high 26 points and
Monica Wright netted 18 as the Minnesota Lynx pulled away in the second half
to defeat the Tulsa Shock, 93-73 on Saturday, and remain undefeated.
Rebekkah Brunson added 15 points while Taj McWilliams-Franklin and Candice
Wiggins contributed 11 points apiece for the Lynx, who improved to 9-0 on the
season.
Lindsay Whalen had eight points and 10 assists in the victory.
Jennifer Lacy had 15 points, Temeka Johnson dropped in 14 and Kayla Pederson
pulled down 10 rebounds for Tulsa, which fell to 0-8 on the year.
Minnesota held a slim 44-42 advantage at the break and Tulsa managed to keep
it close through the opening minutes of the third quarter.
But after a Karima Christmas three-pointer tied the game at 47-47 with just
over seven minutes left in the frame, back-to-back treys by Wright and Moore
around a Christmas jumper sparked a 23-11 run that gave the Lynx a 70-58 lead
entering the fourth quarter.
Tulsa trailed by double digits throughout the entire final period.
