Miami, FL (Sports Network) - The Toronto Blue Jays activated outfielder Ben
Francisco from the 15-day disabled list following Sunday's 9-0 loss to the
Miami Marlins.
Francisco had been out since May 21 with a tear in his left hamstring. He is
hitting .206 in 16 games for Toronto this season.
The Blue Jays also recalled first baseman Adam Lind from Triple-A Las Vegas.
Lind started the year as the Blue Jays' cleanup hitter, but hit just .186 with
three home runs and 11 RBI in 34 games. He was sent down to Las Vegas, where
he batted .392 with eight home runs and 29 RBI while appearing in 32 games.
In addition, Toronto optioned first baseman David Cooper and utility player
Mike McCoy to Las Vegas and moved pitcher Sergio Santos to the 60-day disabled
list.
