CONWAY, Ark. (AP) - Nine Central Arkansas players have been named to the preseason All-Southland Conference football team.
Officials said Tuesday linebacker Seth Allison; running back Jackie Hinton and offensive lineman Dominique Allen were chosen for the first team.
Receivers Jesse Grandy and Dominique Allen; offensive lineman Corey Howard; placekicker Eddie Camara; offensive tackle Matt Hornbuckle and safety Jestin Love were picked for the second team.
In 11 games for the Bears last season, Hinton led the team in rushing with 673 yards on 145 attempts with four touchdowns. On the defensive side, Allison was the leader, recording a team-high 110 tackles and finishing tied for fourth in tackles for loss with 15.5
The Bears finished 9-4 last season.
Central Arkansas opens the 2012 season at Mississippi on Sept. 1.
