Denver, CO (Sports Network) - The Colorado Rockies recalled pitcher Alex White
from Triple-A Colorado Springs on Thursday to start against St. Louis.
It will be White's second stint with the Rockies as he posted a 2-6 mark with
a 6.45 earned run average over 10 starts in May and June.
White, 23, was acquired in a trade with Cleveland last season and over two
years he is 5-10 with a 6.73 ERA in 20 starts.
To open a spot on the roster, the team optioned outfielder Andrew Brown to
Colorado Springs. He batted .208 with three RBI over 11 games after having his
contract selected on July 17.
