SEARCY, Ark. (HARDING) -- Coming off a 76-23 Homecoming victory over Arkansas Tech, the Harding Bisons moved up three spots to No. 16 in the AFCA Division II Coaches Poll that was released Monday.
The No. 16 ranking is the highest ever by the Harding football team during its time in the NCAA. The previous high was No. 18 during the 2002 season.
Harding and Henderson State (No. 8) are the only two ranked teams from the Great American Conference. Ouachita Baptist fell out of the rankings after losing to East Central on Saturday.
The 7-1 Bisons will take on Southeastern Oklahoma State on Saturday in Durant, Okla. Kickoff is at 2 p.m.
