With the big news that Bret Bielema is coming to Arkansas to coach the hogs, many people are getting more interested in who this man is.
Here are a few fun facts we found about the life-long Midwesterner who is now headed down South to be Head Hog coach:
-Bret married his wife, Jen, on March 10 of this year, after dating for 4 years
-The two met at a blackjack table in Las Vegas. She was visiting Vegas with her best friend and her husband; he was there for UW work.
-While Jen is from Florida, she was intrigued that Bret was from Wisconsin since her family spent summer vacations in Oshkosh, WI growing up
-Bret shouldn't have a problem calling the hogs. He grew up on a pig farm in Illinois.
-Bret played football at Iowa, and has a tattoo of an Iowa tiger hawk on his leg
-Bret supports Komen for the Cure, as his mom has battled breast cancer, and has hosted an annual fundrasier for the cause with his UW football program
-As a kid, he wanted to be a professional football player
-Much of Bret's wardrobe may be repurposed. Wisconsin red and Arkansas use the exact same shade of red (PMS 200)
