FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KTHV) -- We're less than two weeks out from National Signing Day and schools, including Arkansas, across the U.S. are making a final push to lure the top recruits.
THV 11's Jessica Duff sits down with Jim Harris, editor with Sporting Life Arkansas, about the Razorbacks' progress in the recruiting process.
Harris says Arkansas is working harder than most schools at this point in time due to the coaching change. He says it's not as easy as it was during the Bobby Petrino change five years ago.
Harris also says the Hogs have reached out to candidates that may not have been as popular several weeks ago. While the obvious prospect and local star is North Little Rock running back Altee Tenpenny, there are plenty of other local players the school is going after.
Head coach Bret Bielema is also making a splash on Twitter lately. The new Head Hog has tweeted about the recruiting process, commenting on the success and his hopes for the team's future.
However, Bielema has also responded to criticism on Twitter. He's replied to comments from people criticizing his coaching methods and the school. Harris believes these comments are probably from disgruntled Wisconsin fans.
