RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. (UAM) - Senior guard Kori Forge has been named the Great American Conference Player of the Week for the third time this season after leading the University of Arkansas at Monticello men's basketball team to wins over regionally-ranked Arkansas Tech and Harding last week.

Forge averaged 17 points and 6.5 rebounds per game in a 51-50 win over Arkansas Tech and a 78-61 win over Harding last week, both teams ahead of the Boll Weevils (16-8, 11-7 GAC) in the GAC standings at the time of the contest.

Forge was limited in the win over ATU on Thursday, but was able to manage seven points on a 2-for-10 shooting performance, while finalizing his scoring with four free throws. He also grabbed seven rebounds in that win. Two days later, Forge tallied his 12th 20-point performance of the season in the win over Harding, going 8-for-17 from the field, including a 6-for-12 three-point performance for 27 points. He also had seven rebounds in the victory.

Overall this season, Forge leads the GAC with a total of 483 points for an average of 20.1 points per game. He is seven points away from becoming the 25th member of UAM's 1,000-point club with two regular season games remaining.

Forge and the Boll Weevils return to the hardwood this Thursday on the road against Southern Arkansas.
