Columbus, OH (Sports Network) - Columbus Blue Jackets defenseman James
Wisniewski is expected to be sidelined for awhile with a broken bone in his
foot.
Wisniewski was hurt during Sunday's game against Chicago and Blue Jackets
coach Todd Richards on Tuesday said the veteran blueliner will be out "an
extended period of time."
The Blue Jackets were already missing defenseman Jack Johnson because of a
right shoulder injury and had recalled Cody Goloubef from their American
Hockey League affiliate in Springfield on Monday to add depth to the depleted
unit.
Richards also said Johnson is about a week away from returning.
Wisniewski leads the Blue Jackets defense with three goals and has added six
assists for nine points in 15 games this season.
