Howard, Red Wings blank Oilers

    Detroit, MI (Sports Network) - Jimmy Howard made 22 saves for his second shutout of the season, and the Detroit Red Wings continued their home dominance over the Edmonton Oilers with a 3-0 victory.

    Jakub Kindl and Cory Emmerton each scored in the second period for the Red Wings, who improved to 5-1-1 since Feb. 23.

    Devan Dubnyk stopped 25 shots for Edmonton, which has lost seven straight at Joe Louis Arena.

    The Oilers fell to 1-3-2 on their nine-game road trip.
