BIRMINGHAM, Ala.(HARDING) - Harding sophomore Ewa Zaborowska placed fifth in the mile at the NCAA Division II Indoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday and became the first Lady Bison ever to earn All-America honors in the indoor mile.
Zaborowska finished in 4 minutes, 50.80 seconds, just off her season-best time of 4:49.88.
Less than an hour after running the mile, Zaborowska was also entered in the 3,000-meter final. With five laps to go in the 15-lap race and battling dizzy spells, Zaborowska stepped off the track.
The All-America honor was the first indoors for Zaborowska, who was also a cross-country All-America.
