JONESBORO, Ark. (ASU) - The NCAA Women's Bowling Championship field will be revealed Wednesday, March 27 when a field of eight teams will be selected to compete in the tournament.
A-State finished with a regular season mark of 86-28 and is ranked fourth in the latest National Tenpin Coaches Association Poll. The 86 wins are a school record for regular season wins and the Red Wolves captured one tournament championship this year at the Holiday City Classic in Bessemer, Ala., defending its title from a year ago. ASU had five second place finishes and finished no worse than fourth in any of its nine tournaments during the regular season.
Arkansas State has recorded at least 60 wins in the regular season for the sixth straight year and is looking to earn its sixth straight NCAA Tournament appearance. A-State recorded its best finish in 2008 when they finished as the national runner-up.
The selection show will air at 3:00 p.m. on www.NCAA.com. The championship tournament is set for April 11-13 at Super Bowl Lanes in Canton, Mich.
