    SHERWOOD, Ark. (KTHV) - The 34th Annual Busch/Pepsi Softball Classic starts this weekend.

    Teams from 12 states will participate in the event. There are five divisions for men and women, including 25 teams in the Conference USSSA Division. The teams will compete for births in the World Series of Softball in Orlando, Fla.

    Breaking it down by the numbers, the event will have 117 teams, 1,700 players, 10 fields, 209 games, 750 hotel rooms, and 4,500 visitors to the area.

    The event begins Friday, July 5 at 8 p.m. and goes through Sunday afternoon on July 7 at the Sherwood Sports Complex and Burns Park. You can also attend the annual Hall of Fame induction ceremony at 5 p.m. on Friday, the Home Run Derby at 5 p.m. on Friday, and the Fastest Baserunner Contest at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
