NEW ORLEANS - Alexandria Price has been named the Sun Belt Conference's Championships Coordinator as announced today by conference commissioner Karl Benson.
"Alex is a great addition to our staff as we continue to be committed to providing first-class championships for our student-athletes, coaches and fans," said Benson. "I look forward to seeing her apply the skillset she gained during her previous experiences at large-scale sporting events."
Price will be responsible for coordinating events and activities surrounding the Sun Belt's 17 conference championships while also assisting in game management and sports administration.
Price comes to the Sun Belt after previously spending a year assisting the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation with several important sporting events. While with the GNOSF, Price spent much of her time coordinating the volunteer effort for the New Orleans Super Bowl Host Committee. Price helped in the process for identifying volunteers and the recruitment of over 13,000 volunteers. She then helped manage events and assignments for the volunteer staff of Super Bowl XLVII.
At the GNOSF, Price was also included in activities surrounding the NCAA Men's and Women's Final Fours that were held in New Orleans respectively in 2012 and 2013.
Prior to her time at the GNOSF, Price served as an Academic Student Intern and Football Recruiting Intern at Louisiana State while pursuing her undergraduate degree.
Price received a Bachelor of Science Degree from LSU in August 2012.
