RUSSELLVILLE, Ark (Harding) - Alicia Zack finished in 21st place to lead Henderson State to an eighth-place finish at the 2013 Great American Conference Women's Cross Country Championships in Russellville, Ark.
Zack ran the 5 kilometer course in a time of 20:03, followed by teammate Charlotte Wetzler in 38th-place with a time of 21:14.
Alison Waggoner placed 42nd for the Lady Reddies with a time of 21:27, while Stacey Emmerling was 46th, clocking in at 21:43.
Other top finishers for Henderson were Mary Ellen McMahen in 48th-place (22:00), Jasmine Spear in 50th (22:52) and Sarah Repp in 51st (22:58).
Harding won the team title for the second time in three years, followed by Southern Arkansas (49), Southeastern Oklahoma (113) and East Central (114). Arkansas Tech placed fifth (120), Ouachita Baptist sixth (175), and Southwestern Oklahoma seventh (188).
Henderson State totaled 195 points with Arkansas-Monticello ending in ninth with 271 points.
