JONESBORO, Ark. (A-State) -Arkansas State University men's basketball head coach John Brady announced this Saturday (Dec. 14) morning redshirt junior forward Seth Kisler has been cleared for participation and sophomore forward Raeford "Gator" Worsham has quit the team.

"We are excited about Seth Kisler joining our team after being cleared to play by the doctors," said Brady, who's in his sixth season at A-State. "He has practiced the last 10 days and as we move toward Sun Belt Conference play, he will be a welcome addition with his size and shooting ability."

Kisler, who hasn't played this season, averaged 2.0 points per game in one game for the 2012-13 campaign due to injury. The 6-8, 208-pound frontcourt player tallied two points on a pair of free throws in the Red Wolves' home non-conference victory over St. Bonaventure (12/18) in three minutes of action. Kisler, a native of Fort Wayne, Ind., joined the A-State program after spending the 2011-12 season at Paris (Texas) Junior College.

"Also Raeford Worsham has decided to quit the Arkansas State men's basketball team. The coaches, his teammates, the administration and the university as a whole gave this young man a wonderful opportunity. We believe some NCAA Rules may have been breached as it relates to tampering and we will use all avenues to protect the investment we made, " stated Brady. "As always I'm indebted to the players who wear the Scarlet and Black and I'm to coach those who represent this wonderful university. We will continue to improve and look forward to Sun Belt Conference play."

Worsham was averaging a team sixth-best 6.4 points per game (45 pts.) and 2.3 rebounds (16 rebs.) while appearing in all seven Red Wolves' contests to date this season. In 36 career appearances at A-State, Worsham averaged 6.4 points a game (231 pts.) and 2.9 rebounds per outing ( 106 rebs.).
