ARKADELPHIA, Ark. (HSU) -Henderson State won eight of 11 events to beat Rhodes College 128-47, Saturday in men's swimming in Memphis, Tenn.
Austin Bryant led the Red Wave with a pair of first-place finishes in the 1650 freestyle (17:46.19) and the 100 butterfly (54.84).
Guy Buls finished first in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:47.19, and later placed second in the 100 freestyle (48.72).
Also winning events were Colton Laramore in the 100 freestyle (48.11), Brandon Curley in the 100 backstroke (56.21), Bence Greifenstien in the 500 freestyle (4:58.92) and Michael Duplessie in the 100 breaststroke (1:03.92).
Aaron Villemez recorded three second-place finishes in the 50 freestyle (22.90), the 100 fly (55.84), and the 500 freestyle (5:12.12).
Paul Bayliss placed second in the 1650 freestyle with a time of 18:52.22, with Dylan Anderson finishing in second-place in the 200 freestyle by clocking in at 1:52.44.
Also having a second-place finish was Will Waidhofer in the 100 backstroke (58.14).
The 200 medley relay team of Denver Dawson, Michael Duplessie, Guy Buls, and Colton Holland opened the meet with a win having a time of 1:42.78.
On Friday, the Red Wave lost to Delta State 145-85.
Three individuals claimed wins including Gut Buls in the 200 backstroke with a time of 1:53.28.
Also winning events were Colton Laramore in the 500 yard freestyle (4:44.52) and Adam Zmijewski in the 3-meter diving event.
