Grambling, LA (Sports Network) - Grambling State has named Joseph Price as its next head men's basketball coach, the school announced Tuesday.

Price takes over for Bobby Washington, who was not retained following a disappointing 4-24 campaign.

Price, who spent 13 years playing professionally overseas, comes to Grambling from Lamar University, where as an assistant coach he helped the Cardinals reach the NCAA Tournament for the first time in 12 years last season.

The Notre Dame alumnus was also an assistant coach at Ball State, IUPUI and Morehead State.
