Athens, OH (Sports Network) - Walter Offutt scored 16 points and the Ohio
Bobcats road a second-half surge to a 73-48 win over the Richmond Spiders at
the Convocation Center.
D.J. Cooper added 14 points and four assists for Ohio (5-0) which remains
unbeaten. Jon Smith had 13 points and Nick Kellogg tacked on 12 more.
Derrick Williams scored 17 points and handed out five assists off the bench
for Richmond (4-2). Darien Brothers (16 points) and Kendall Anthony (15) each
got into double figures as well.
At the end of the first half Richmond led 30-27 after hitting on 42.9 percent
of its field goal attempts including 4-of-9 from beyond the arc. Ohio shot
33.3 percent in the first 20 minutes.
In the second half the Bobcats heated up to 60.7 percent shooting, including
makes on 8-of-13 3-point attempts while holding the Spiders to only four field
goals.
Ohio forced 19 turnovers and had a 36-26 edge on the boards.
