Fargo, ND (Sports Network) - Taylor Braun scored 22 points to help lift the
North Dakota State Bison to a 72-52 victory over instate rival North Dakota at
the Fargodome.
Braun also swiped five steals for NDSU (8-2), which has won three in a row.
Marshall Bjorklund had 13 points, while TrayVonn Wright added 10 points, eight
rebounds, and three blocks.
For North Dakota (1-6), Mitch Wilmer and Aaron Anderson both finished with 12
points.
Neither team shot well in the first half, with North Dakota going 7-of-19 from
the field and the Bison making 11-of-32. NDSU took a 30-24 lead into
intermission.
The Bison's efficiency from the floor improved to 46.7 percent after
intermission as they spent most of the half leading by double figures.
NDSU outscored North Dakota in the paint, 34-18. The Bison also won the
turnover battle, 19-6.
