CONWAY, Ark. (UCA) -- UCA guard Robert Crawford earned Southland Conference Player of the Week honors on Monday after a stellar week that featured two victories for the Bears.

Crawford, a 6-foot-5 senior from Broken Arrow, Okla., was nearly perfect in an 88-85 victory at Southeast Missouri on Saturday. Crawford hit 12 of 15 shots overall, including 7 of 9 from three-point range. He was also 8 of 8 at the free-throw line for a career-high 39 points. It tied for the sixth-best scoring game in UCA history.

Crawford's seven three pointers were two away from tying the school single-game record. He also scored 14 points and had 3 rebounds and 3 assists in UCA's 87-86 victory over UT Martin on Wednesday.

For the week, Crawford shot 73.9 percent (17 of 23) from the field, 71.4 percent (10 of 14) from three-point range and 81.8 percent (9 of 11) from the free-throw line. He is second in the Southland in three-point shooting at 54.3 percent, while UCA leads the league at 40.8 percent.

Crawford's previous scoring high was 19 points against Nicholls State last season. The 39 points was the most for a UCA player since Nate Bowie had 39 against Nicholls State on Feb. 2, 2008. The school record is 44 points by Derrel Washington against Delta State on Jan. 31, 1994.
