Columbus, OH (Sports Network) - Deshaun Thomas scored 21 of his game-high 22
points in the first half as No. 7 Ohio State smothered Savannah State, 85-45,
on Wednesday at Value City Arena.
Thomas, who added seven rebounds in the victory, outscored the Tigers by
himself over the opening 20 minutes to help the Buckeyes (7-1) win their 37th
consecutive non-conference contest.
LaQuinton Ross chipped in 13 points and 10 boards off the bench in the
triumph, Ohio State's third in a row since suffering its lone loss of the
season to No. 2 Duke on Nov. 28.
Arnold Louis led Savannah State (5-5) with 14 points and Rashad Hassan added
nine points for the Tigers, who have lost two straight.
