Princeton, NJ (Sports Network) - Hans Brase scored 17 points to lead his
Princeton squad over its instate rivals, the Rider Broncs, 62-45 as the
Tigers earned their first victory at Jadwin Gymnasium this season.
Brase was 7-of-9 from the field with two blocked shots for the Tigers (4-6)
who were trying to turn things around after losing three of their last four
games. Two other Princeton players scored in double-figures, Ian Hummer (15
points, seven rebounds, and five assists) and Denton Koon (15 points and six
rebounds).
Rider (6-6) was led by Anthony Myles who shot 7-of-12 from the field for 18
points, to go along with six rebounds as the Broncs fell short in their second
straight outing. Jonathon Thompson added 14 points as the only other double-
digit scorer for the squad.
Princeton led 27-21 at the break after holding the Broncs to 36.8 percent
shooting from the field in the first half.
In the second half the Tigers outscored Rider 35-24 while shooting 60.0
percent from the floor.
Princeton earned a 36-20 rebounding edge in a much needed home win as it hopes
to gather some momentum heading into a meeting with Bucknell on Saturday.
