Pocatello, ID (Sports Network) - Aaron Anderson recorded a game-high 19 points
as North Dakota defeated the Idaho State Bengals, 66-53, in Big Sky action at
Holt Arena.
Anderson was a perfect 8-of-8 from the free throw line for North Dakota (4-8,
1-2 Big Sky). Troy Huff scored 15 points off the bench, while Josh Schuler
scored 14 points as North Dakota won its third straight game.
For the Bengals (1-11, 0-3), Tomas Sanchez scored a team-high 15 points.
Andre Hatchett and Chris Hansen scored 11 and 10 points, respectively, in
Idaho State's sixth straight loss.
Both teams struggled shooting in the first half. North Dakota made 6-of-17
from long-range, while limiting the Bengals to a mere 1-of-9 from 3-point
range, en route to a 31-20 advantage at the break.
North Dakota hit on 9-of-21 shots from the floor while limiting Idaho State
again to only 1-of-9 from 3-point range in the second half.
North Dakota had a 43-22 edge on the glass. North Dakota overcame a game-high
15 turnovers to win.
