Hanover, NH (Sports Network) - Siyani Chambers led four players in double-
figures with a game-high 22 points as the Harvard Crimson defeated the
Dartmouth Big Green, 75-65, in Ivy League play at Leede Arena.
Chambers was a perfect 3-of-3 from beyond the arc and recorded six assists
for the Crimson (9-5, 1-0 Ivy). Wesley Saunders scored 19 points along with
six assists and five boards. Steve Moundou-Missi scored 15 points off the
bench and Laurent Rivard added 12 points as the Crimson registered their
second straight win.
For the Big Green (3-11, 0-1), Connor Boehm and Alex Mitola scored 11 points
apiece, while Jvonte Brooks and Gabas Maldunas scored 10 points each as the
team bowed for the eighth time in nine tries.
Dartmouth was 17-of-31 from the floor with six 3-pointers in the first half,
while Harvard converted 15-of-23 from the field and matched the hosts on the
perimeter, leading to a 43-42 Dartmouth advantage at the break.
Harvard converted 60 percent from the floor in the second while limiting the
hosts to 34.6 percent from the floor and 1-of-6 from long range.
Harvard controlled points in the paint, 36-26, and shot 62.8 percent from the
floor including 7-of-13 from 3-point range.
