Kingston, RI (Sports Network) - The University of Rhode Island gets to welcome
the two new members of CAA Football in September.
The Rams have an early stretch of conference games, including the first ones
for Stony Brook on Sept. 7 at URI and for Albany on Sept. 14 in the New York
capital.
Coach Joe Trainer's squad will visit William & Mary on Sept. 21, giving the
Rams three of their first four games within the CAA.
The Rams will play five home games in their 12-game schedule. The others are
against Central Connecticut State (Sept. 28) and CAA opponents Richmond (Oct.
19), Delaware (Oct. 26) and Villanova (Nov. 9).
Their other roads games are against Fordham (Aug. 31), Brown (Oct. 5) and Old
Dominion (Nov. 2) in non-conference action, and New Hampshire (Oct. 19) and
Maine (Nov. 16) in CAA action.
URI finished 0-11 this past season.
