Wilmington, NC (Sports Network) - Devon Moore tallied 19 points and seven
assists to help lead the James Madison Dukes to a 63-56 win over the UNC-
Wilmington Seahawks in Colonial Athletic Association action at Trask Coliseum.
Moore shot 8-of-11 from the field for JMU (12-10, 6-3 CAA), which extended its
winning streak to three games. Rayshawn Goins recorded a double-double with 11
points and 12 rebounds, while Andre Nation added 11 points for the visitors.
For UNCW (8-12, 3-5), Keith Rendleman had 20 points, 13 rebounds, four blocks,
and two steals, while Chris Dixon scored 16 points. Cedrick Williams came off
the bench to net 10 for the Seahawks, who had won three of their previous four
contests.
Neither team shot greater than 33 percent from the floor in the first half,
but JMU earned 10 second chance points off of 10 offensive rebounds and took a
26-25 advantage into halftime.
UNCW led by six with 13:27 the play, but the Dukes ripped off a 14-4 run to
take control of the game down the stretch. They sealed their fate by shooting
a perfect 8-of-8 from the foul line in the final minute.
JMU held a firm advantage in the rebounding battle, 42-30.
