Laramie, WY (Sports Network) - Hugh Greenwood tallied four points in the final
nine seconds -- including a right side jumper which broke a tie game -- as
20th-ranked New Mexico held on for a 63-59 road victory versus Wyoming
Wednesday at Arena-Auditorium.
Cameron Bairstow scored a game-high 17 points, while Greenwood recorded a
double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds for the Lobos (18-3, 5-1 MWC),
who bounced back from a historically brutal showing Saturday, in which the
team managed just 34 total points in a loss to San Diego State. Kendall
Williams chipped in 12 points and six boards in the win.
Derrious Gilmore led Wyoming with 15 points on 5-of-7 shooting from 3-point
range and Riley Grabau netted 11 points -- including the late game-tying 3-
pointer with 15 seconds left -- for the Cowboys (15-5, 2-5), who have dropped
three straight and four of their last five.
