Stockton, CA (Sports Network) - Sama Taku scored 15 points, leading four
players in double figures, as the Pacific Tigers captured a 77-64 win over the
UC Davis Aggies in Big West Conference action at the Spanos Center.
Colin Beatty and Lorenzo McCloud both dropped in 12 points, the latter
accounting for nine assists for the Tigers (12-8, 6-2 Big West) as they won
their fourth in a row and the seventh in the last eight. Ross Rivera added 11
points in 18 minutes off the bench.
The Aggies (8-11, 4-4) were paced by Josh Ritchart who tallied a game-high 22
points, shooting 5-of-11 behind the 3-point line, followed by Ryan Sypkens and
J.T. Adenrele with 14 and 12 points, respectively, as they bowed for the
second time in the last three outings.
UC Davis shot 52.4 percent from the field in the first half and connected on
half of its 3-point tries, but the team still fell behind by four points at
the break, 38-34.
In the second half Pacific pulled away with 57.1 percent accuracy on the
perimeter and 48.0 percent from the field overall, en route to the double-
digit win.
The Aggies connected on an impressive 10-of-23 beyond the arc in the meeting,
but at the same time turned the ball over 18 times.
