Berkeley, CA (Sports Network) - Allen Crabbe finished with 23 points, 10 rebounds and six steals to push the California Golden Bears to a 76-68 come from behind victory over the USC Trojans in a Pac-12 Conference bout at Haas Pavilion.

Justin Cobbs played through an ankle injury for Cal (16-9, 8-5) and contributed 22 points and six assists. Richard Solomon and David Kravish scored 14 and 10 points, respectively, as the Golden Bears picked up their third straight win.

J.T. Terrell paced USC (12-14, 7-6) with 17 points while Byron Wesley and Jio Fontan scored 16 points each. Dewayne Dedmon chimed in with nine points, two blocks and two steals as the Trojans had their three-game winning streak concluded.

Although the Golden Bears hit on 45.8 percent of their field goal attempts and limited the Trojans to 39.4 percent shooting from the floor in the opening 20 minutes, USC managed to take a 32-28 lead into halftime by holding a 16-4 edge in points off of turnovers.

Cal got off to a slow start to the second period which allowed USC to take a 47-32 lead with 16 minutes left in regulation. During a timeout, Crabbe and Cal's coach Mike Montgomery had a heated exchange. Montgomery shoved Crabbe, who then headed back towards the locker room. Unfortunately for USC, Crabbe's departure did not last long as he came back shortly after to serve as the catalyst for a 40-20 run. He and Cobbs combined for 30 points in the second half while the Trojans struggled to score against Cal's zone defense.

Cobbs gave Cal its first lead of the second half when he drained a contested 3-point attempt at the 3:35 mark. Fontan responded with a triple of his own to give USC a 64-62 edge, but Crabbe scored six consecutive points with a pair of makes from beyond the arc to put the Golden Bears on top for good. The Trojans converted only two field goal tries in the final six minutes.

With the setback, USC fell to 5-4 under interim head coach Bob Cantu on the season.
