Sarasota, FL (Sports Network) - Esther Choe may have struggled to a three-over
75 on Sunday, but it was enough to get her first Symetra Tour win at the Sara
Bay Classic.
Choe, a second-round co-leader, finished at one-over 217 and won by four
strokes at the Sara Bay Country Club.
Choe tallied four bogeys through her first 10 holes Sunday, but tough
conditions meant no one was threatening her lead. Her only birdie of the round
came at the par-three 16th and that cemented her victory.
Mi Hyang Lee shot a one-under 71 and shared second with Hannah Jun, who posted
a one-over 73 Sunday. The pair came in at five-over-par 221.
Jacqui Concolino, who shared the second-round lead with Choe, shot an 80 on
Sunday and tied for fourth with Tara Goedeken and Mallory Fraiche, who both
shot 76s, at plus-six.
An even-par 72 from Jaclyn Sweeney on Sunday vaulted her from a tie for 31st
into a tie for seventh. She was joined Nicole Hage, who carded a four-over 76,
at seven-over par.
