Arkadelphia opens the season big over Stuttgart 42-13

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - High school football is back in central Arkansas. Arkadelphia taking on Stuttgart in the annual First Security kickoff Classic.

Not a good start for Arkadelphia. In the first quarter Jeff Blake and Jathan Bowens with a little miscommunication on the snap, resulting in a fumble recovered by Robbie Harwell.

Next Drive the Ricebird'ss Carter Ward found Malik Brasfield over the middle for a touchdown to putt Stuttgart up 7-0.

The Arkadelphia defense would step up however and stop the Ricebirds on a 4th and one from the one yard line to deny Stuttgart any more points in the half.

Just before halftime Arkadelphia marched down the field and scored on a one yard touchdown run from Ty Kosters and the route was on.

The Badgers score 36 straight points in the half to route Stuttgart 42-13.
