BRYANT, Ark. (KTHV) - Bryant's Trevor Ezell named the Arkansas Gatorade Player of the Year Monday afternoon in Bryant.
Last month Ezell led the Hornets to an upset victory over Fayetteville in the 7A state championship game. Ezell says "it's an amazing feeling to compete with and against the best in Arkansas".
Bryant head coach Kirk Bock says Ezell has "set a model for not only his teammates but future baseball players in Bryant."
Ezell now heads to Southeast Missouri State where he is expected to compete for the starting shortstop position in the fall.
