Series History

The Razorbacks have dropped two of three in each of the previous four series with the Tigers, last earning a series win during the 2009 season. Arkansas has a 17-16 record all-time against Auburn in Fayetteville.

Model of Consistency

Brian Anderson continues to be one of the most consistent players in the country and is the only Razorback to start every game this season. He has hit safely in 18 of the last 19 games and in 37 of 43 contests on the year.

Can't Stop This

Michael Gunn was one of 50 pitchers named to the initial watch list for the 10th annual NCBWA Stopper of the Year Award announced on April 23. He has a 0.40 ERA in 17 appearances and 22.1 innings of work. He is a perfect 6-for-6 in save opportunities and allowed just 10 hits on the year.

Baxendale's Bat

Blake Baxendale continues to swing a hot bat with five multi-hit games in the last seven contests. The freshman is hitting .294 in 12 SEC games with 10 hits, three doubles and 10 runs batted in.

Powerful Trend

After hitting nine home runs through the first 32 games of the season, Arkansas has hit 10 home runs in the last 11 games. The Razorbacks have hit multiple home runs in a game four times this year and connected with two grand slams this season.

Three's Company for Killer B's

Freshmen Blake Baxendale and Andrew Benintendi have combined to play 67 games this year, but the duo each recorded their first career three-hit game on the same night against Northwestern State on April 22. They combined to go 6-for-8 with three RBI and two runs scored.

Wiser Than Most

Jake Wise has turned into a nightmare for opponent behind the plate with an SEC-leading five pickoffs and 14 runners caught stealing. He has thrown out four runners in as many games, including one in each of the first two games against Vanderbilt.

Elite Hurlers

The Arkansas pitching staff is putting together one of the most dominant seasons in program history in 2014, amassing a 2.29 earned run average through the first 43 games to rank 9th in the country. The seven shutouts already rank in the program's top 10 for a single season, with the record being set with 13 shutouts in 51 games during the 1977 season. The 2.29 ERA currently ranks second in program history, sitting only behind a 1.89 ERA in 61 games last season.

This Date in History

Arkansas is currently 545-364 all-time in the month of April, including a 10-6 record this season. The Razorbacks have never had a losing season in April under Coach Van Horn.
